At 123SEO, we love to find out about small businesses embarking on exciting new ventures and we take particular interest to those who are online and making it happen for themselves.

One particular business which caught our eyes recently was FOODO.com.au.

It all began when we noticed their very cool branding on Twitter and started following them to see what they were all about. FOODO.com.au is an online marketplace that links up gourmet/specialty food makers with those who specifically seek out their handmade goodies. It’s unique in that it doesn’t merely list food products and operates solely to make a cut – Foodo genuinely cares about food makers and provides an insight into who they are and what makes them so great.. Daniel and Ruth, who co-founded the website, ensure that only the finest quality foods are sold on Foodo because like the people who use the site, they are all about quality.

So how successful have they been? Well, Foodo has just recently celebrated its 1 year birthday and is growing every week with wonderful Aussie foodmakers and even more foodies who have a penchant for gourmet food and for supporting Australian businesses. There’s so many wonderful items to choose from on the website at really affordable prices, you’re bound to be making regular purchases. From muesli to sauces to sweets to muffins – the variety is amazing and the range keeps growing too.

We thought we’d give FOODO.com.au a try and just purchased some Lushies, which are one of the most popular items on Foodo. Lushies are homemade marshmallows and rocky road delights and from what we’ve read on Twitter, they’re absolutely divine. We can’t wait for our order to arrive! Daniel from Foodo assures us that no other marshmallows come close to the quality and taste of Lushies.
